Senior Technician – Structures & Geotechnical Engineering
Location: Norfolk (2-3 days per week in office)
Contract: 6-month initial contract (with view to extend further)
Rate: £300 – £400 per day (Umbrella PAYE, Inside IR35)
Hours: 40 hours per week – some flexibility available

The Role
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Technician with strong civil and structural infrastructure design capability to join a busy multidisciplinary engineering environment delivering permanent works across a range of infrastructure schemes. Working within the Structures & Geotechnical team, you will be responsible for producing high-quality BIM models, 3D designs and 2D CAD drawings to support tender, design and delivery stages. You will play a key role in ensuring all outputs are accurate, coordinated and compliant with CDM Regulations and relevant British and European Standards. This role offers the opportunity to work on a wide variety of infrastructure projects while developing your technical career within a collaborative and delivery-focused design environment.
Key Requirements
- Relevant construction-related qualification (HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent)
- Strong experience in civil and structural infrastructure design
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to work 2-3 days per week in the Norfolk office
Desirable
- Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD for infrastructure modelling and drawing production
- Strong knowledge of reinforced concrete detailing and scheduling to relevant standards
- Knowledge of WIMES or Minimum Asset Standards
- Experience within water or wastewater treatment environments
Main Responsibilities
- Production of BIM models, 3D designs and 2D CAD drawings to support tenders and project delivery
- Support permanent works design across structures, utilities and infrastructure
- Assist bid and tender activities, including feasibility studies and concept design
- Identify technical risks and develop practical engineering solutions throughout design and construction stages
- Ensure compliance with CDM Regulations and British/European Standards
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary engineering teams to support coordinated design delivery
