Quality Engineer – Burnley, Lancashire. Commutable from Blackburn, Preston, Rochdale and surrounding areas.
£40,000 – £45,000 + training, career progression, early finish Fridays, pension and company benefits.
Excellent opportunity for an experienced Quality Engineer to join a growing manufacturing business, offering a varied role, clear career progression and the chance to drive continuous improvement across a modern production environment.
This established manufacturer has built an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality products to customers across a range of industries. Due to continued growth, they are strengthening their quality team with the addition of a Quality Engineer who will play a key role in maintaining quality standards, supporting continuous improvement and developing manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities
- Act as the quality lead for designated customer accounts while supporting manufacturing operations through process audits, statistical analysis and problem-solving activities.
- Collaborate with production, engineering and management teams to utilise quality core tools to identify improvement opportunities, investigate non-conformances and ensure compliance with customer and industry standards.
- Support manufacturing quality across production and customer accounts.
- Carry out internal process and system audits.
- Support 8D investigations and root cause analysis.
- Use SPC, MSA and process capability studies to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Quality Engineer with previous manufacturing or engineering experience.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 quality management systems.
- Experience with quality core tools such as SPC, MSA, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, 8D and capability studies.
- Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Lives locally or is willing to commute to Burnley.
