Senior Electrical Engineer – Building Services Design

Overview

Are you an experienced Electrical Design Engineer looking for a new role with a well established company working on outstanding projects? A National Building Services consultancy is looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join their busy office in Birmingham. This full-time permanent position places you in the Electrical team in the Solihull office, reporting to the Director. The role will cover various sectors including commercial, residential, hotels, education and healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Project co-ordination
• Lighting designs utilising Dialux software
• Producing electrical design calculations using Amtech software
• Take an active role in project meetings
• Liaising with internal and external design teams
• Supervision of junior staff
• Compliance with company QA system
• Take an active role in marketing and work-winning activities

Qualifications

• Have at least 5 years engineering experience in the field of electrical building services design
• Have a recognised electrical engineering qualification
• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with staff at all levels, including with technical staff across multiple disciplines
• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with clients
• Eligibility to work in the UK without visa sponsorship
