Shirley Parsons has been retained by well-established engineering and manufacturing organisation with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality, technically complex products to global industries. Due to continued growth, they are seeking 2 X Junior Quality Engineer to join their Quality team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career quality professional looking to broaden their experience across both Quality Assurance and Quality Control disciplines within a highly regulated engineering environment.

Junior Quality Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Support the review of customer specifications, technical requirements, and quality documentation.
  • Assist in the preparation, implementation, and maintenance of Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), Quality Plans, procedures, and associated documentation.
  • Support contract quality activities, ensuring compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Review and manage quality records, certifications, and technical documentation.
  • Assist with supplier quality activities, including the review of supplier plans and procedures.
  • Participate in root cause investigations, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support internal, supplier, and customer audit activities.
  • Work closely with Engineering, Production, Manufacturing, Test, Operations, and Sales teams to provide quality support across the business.
  • Assist in monitoring compliance with relevant industry standards, specifications, and procedures.
  • Support document control activities, ensuring revisions and technical changes are appropriately managed.

Junior Quality Engineer Essential Experience & Skills

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience within a Quality, Manufacturing, or Engineering environment.
  • Basic understanding of Quality Plans, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), and quality-related procedures.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A collaborative approach and willingness to learn and develop technical expertise.
