Electronics and Firmware Engineer — Salary up to £60k and based in Southampton, Hampshire.

An Electronics and Firmware Engineer is required for a busy and expanding engineering company based in the Southampton area.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of the Product Development Team to develop standard products and bespoke applications for products based around optical systems.
• Cover the whole design life-cycle of control electronics and firmware.
• Participate in product delivery activities to meet customer orders.

Qualifications and Skills

• Degree-qualified (likely).
• Proficient in C and/or C++ with experience developing embedded systems and writing firmware for microcontrollers (e.g., PICs, AVR, STM32).
• Experience in electronics design for digital and microprocessor systems.
• Experience in low-noise analogue electronics design is beneficial.
• Strong attention to detail; ability to follow processes and seek workflow efficiencies.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
