Electrical Control and Instrumentation Production Engineer

Overview

As an Electrical Control and Instrumentation (EC&I) Production Engineer, you’ll play a vital role in delivering specialist electrical and electronic equipment used within highly regulated nuclear environments. This role is based at Whetstone, Leicester. You will work 37 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 07:30-16:15 and Friday 07:30-12:00. Occasional travel to customer and subcontractor sites will be expected.

Responsibilities

• Creating production plans and SAP routings covering assembly, inspection and testing activities.
• Supporting technicians with the assembly, wiring and testing of electrical and electronic equipment.
• Delivering toolbox talks and promoting learning from experience activities across the production environment.
• Investigating faults, identifying root causes and producing detailed technical reports and recommendations.
• Driving continuous improvement activities to maximise efficiency, quality and operational performance.
• Occasional travel to customer and subcontractor sites will be expected.

Qualifications and Experience

• Experience working within a highly regulated production, manufacturing, assembly or test environment.
• Experience producing engineering documentation, manufacturing instructions or production plans.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Material Requirements Planning software, ideally SAP.
• Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives and Lean manufacturing practices.
• Ability to investigate technical faults and provide effective engineering solutions.
• Higher National Certificate in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering or a related discipline with significant relevant industry experience.
