Commissioning Engineer – Power Generation

Full-time; Permanent

Wirral; UK travel;

Strong experience commissioning generators and control systems? Confident with electrical fault finding and system testing? Happy working nationally with travel and nights away?

What will you be doing?

• Commission generator systems and associated controls
• Carry out testing; fault finding; system validation
• Work with control systems (DSE; ComAp; DEIF)
• Support installs; upgrades and synchronisation
• Liaise with clients and engineers on site
• Ensure systems are fully operational and compliant

Where will you be doing it?

Field-based role within a specialist service and projects team; working across customer sites nationwide with some time from the northwest depot; hands-on commissioning across critical power installations.

What will you need?

• Proven commissioning experience with generators
• Strong electrical fault finding and testing skills
• Electrical qualifications (18th Edition or equivalent)
• Full UK driving licence
• Desirable:
  • Experience with synchronisation and load sharing
  • Controls experience (DSE; ComAp; DEIF)
  • Background in critical power or CHP systems
