Environmental Protection Officer (Hybrid) – Barnstaple, £35ph PAYE — Reference: 5300123

Location: Barnstaple; hybrid working arrangement.

Responsibilities

• Conduct reactive and proactive interventions, including advice, inspections, investigations, audits, surveillance and other monitoring/survey activity, and the public health and environmental impact assessment of proposed development or licences/permitted processes.
• Promote environmental compliance to reduce the need for enforcement, such as by participating in business or consumer education programmes or by working with businesses on accreditation schemes.

Requirements

• Driving licence and access to own vehicle.
• Ability to undertake environmental protection duties as described in the responsibilities.

Contract details

This is a full-time role on a temporary contract basis.
