QC Engineer

Overview

We are looking to appoint an experienced Quality Control Engineer to support delivery of a major RC package on a high-profile infrastructure project in Devonport.

This role sits with a self-delivery civil engineering contractor and will suit someone with a strong site engineering background who has moved into, or naturally leans toward, quality assurance, inspection and technical compliance. You are likely to have operated previously as a Site Engineer, Senior Engineer, Section Engineer or Sub Agent on heavy civils, reinforced concrete, marine or infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Drive quality on site through rigorous inspection, assurance and record keeping across all stages of the works.
• Take ownership of ITP compliance, QA documentation, material and workmanship inspections, and detailed pre-pour and post-pour checks, ensuring works are delivered in line with specification, drawings and client standards.
• Confidently work closely with delivery teams, supervisors and site management to challenge standards where needed, close out defects, maintain robust quality records and ensure engineering and construction activities are completed right first time.
• Maintain a strong focus on quality as part of the delivery process.

Requirements / Qualifications

• Strong site engineering background with experience in quality assurance, inspection and technical compliance.
• Experience as Site Engineer, Senior Engineer, Section Engineer or Sub Agent on heavy civils, reinforced concrete, marine or infrastructure.
