Overview
The Renewables Breakdown Engineer provides maintenance and repair services for renewable energy installations. Responsibilities include diagnosing faults, providing technical support and advice, and ensuring work complies with safety standards and regulations. The role requires effective communication and close collaboration with engineering and customer service teams.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair faults within renewable energy central heating and hot water systems across the region.
- Provide technical support and advice to customers and colleagues.
- Ensure high levels of customer care in dealing with clients and tenants to meet required quality standards.
- Communicate updates and progress of work; complete required paperwork electronically and manually.
- Adhere to all Health and Safety requirements and legislation, including Risk Assessments, Safe Systems of Work, and COSHH records.
- Coordinate stock ordering and auditing procedures to ensure relevant parts are available to fulfil job requirements.
- Demonstrate reliable professional conduct with detailed knowledge of renewable energy systems; manage complex problems effectively and adapt to changes.
- Maintain time management and a positive attitude while delivering high-quality customer service within a team.
- Build strong relationships with clients and tenants, ensuring all works meet required standards.
Qualifications
- Experience in renewable energy heating and hot water systems is essential.
- Skilled at problem solving and decision making.
- Gas qualifications are desirable.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to complete paperwork electronically and manually.
- Valid driving license.
- Important: criminal and reference checks will be carried out before employment starts.
