We’re looking for a Housing Income Officer to join our team, managing a patch of customer accounts and supporting customers to sustain their tenancies and improve their financial wellbeing.

This is a role where you’ll make a real difference to people’s lives.

In this role, you’ll take ownership of income collection across your patch, working closely with customers to provide advice, guidance and practical support. From helping maximise income and manage rent accounts to preparing cases for court where needed, you’ll play a key role in delivering positive outcomes for both our customers and the business.

You’ll also be part of our Place-based way of working. This means you’ll be embedded within a local community, working alongside neighbourhood and other frontline colleagues to deliver a joined-up, customer-focused service. By being visible and connected in your patch, you’ll build strong relationships, understand local needs, and take a proactive approach to supporting sustainable tenancies and stronger neighbourhoods.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Managing a patch of accounts, supporting customers to maintain their tenancies
  • Providing advice on rent, arrears, budgeting and welfare benefits
  • Preparing and presenting cases at court where required
  • Working collaboratively with local teams to deliver joined-up outcomes

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in housing income management, benefits or money advice
  • Strong understanding of welfare benefits and income collection
  • Confident communicator, able to build trust and manage challenging conversations
  • Resilient, organised and focused on achieving positive outcomes

You’ll be joining a team that is customer-driven, ambitious and all-in, where your work will have a direct impact on the communities we serve.

What We Offer

  • Flexible and hybrid working; many roles support working across our main locations and home
  • Performance related pay based on shared success
  • A choice of pension schemes with employer contributions of up to 10%
  • Employee Assistance Programme that provides 24/7 virtual GP access, prescription service, and talking therapies for you and your family
  • Generous holiday, occupational sick pay and paid family leave
  • Annual allowance of £500 to spend on benefits of your choosing, including healthcare plans, dental care, gym membership and much more
  • Attractive career development opportunities
