Overview
The post holder will have a leading role in managing an international team of research staff embedded within the NIHR Global Health Research Unit on Global Surgery (the GSU) to deliver international cluster-randomised clinical trials in low resource settings. Provide strategic and operational management skills in the planning and execution of projects, focusing on maternal and neonatal health trials. Work on an exciting new global collaborative initiative using wearable sensors and data-driven research approaches to improve maternal and foetal outcomes during labour.
Responsibilities
- Lead an international team of research staff embedded within the NIHR Global Health Research Unit on Global Surgery (GSU) to deliver international cluster-randomised clinical trials in low resource settings.
- Provide strategic and operational management in the planning and execution of projects, focusing on maternal and neonatal health trials.
- Contribute to a global collaborative initiative using wearable sensors and data-driven research approaches to improve maternal and foetal outcomes during labour.
Requirements
- A degree in a relevant area
- Substantial experience in the delivery of complex clinical trials in maternal health, including compliance with all relevant governance processes.
- Extensive experience of delivering clinical trials in low resource settings.
- Experience in monitoring, analysing and dissemination of complex information.
- Ability to work well within a multi-disciplinary team, including international and industry partners.
