We are currently recruiting for an experienced and committed Resource Officer who is confident working in a complex legal and safeguarding landscape, with offices based in both Hastings and Uckfield.

You will be part of a supportive, multidisciplinary team committed to strengths‑based practice and person‑centred care. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage complex caseloads, prioritising cases and safeguarding needs, and act as Lead Enquiry Officer in Section 42 Safeguarding Enquiries under the Care Act 2014.
  • Apply the Mental Capacity Act (MCA) in practice and make Best Interests decisions.
  • Work collaboratively with partner agencies, legal teams, and health professionals.

  • Plan and organise a varied workload for self and others, working to short deadlines.
  • Know the policies, procedures and legislative requirements relevant to the service area.
  • Work jointly and constructively with colleagues and other health professionals.
  • Maintain clear, professional boundaries.
  • Demonstrate resilience, for example by responding to a difficult situation.
