Overview

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Agent to join a well-established Civil Engineering contractor delivering infrastructure and flood defence projects. Requirements

  • HNC/HND or BEng qualification in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
  • CSCS Card and SMSTS certification
  • Strong working knowledge of NEC4 contracts
  • Previous experience delivering civil engineering projects, ideally including flood defence schemes
  • Experience managing site teams, subcontractors and project programmes
  • Knowledge of construction methodologies and temporary works
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and planning software such as Asta Powerproject or MS Project
  • Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • TWC, First Aid at Work, SEATS and/or EUSR certifications would be advantageous

Responsibilities

  • Manage site teams, operatives and subcontractors to ensure projects are delivered safely and efficiently
  • Produce and implement method statements, risk assessments and project management plans
  • Monitor project costs against tender allowances and agreed budgets
  • Prepare, manage and update project programmes
  • Procure, assess and manage subcontractors throughout project delivery
  • Coordinate design activities between internal teams and external consultants
  • Administer NEC contracts and manage contractual change
  • Ensure projects are completed on programme, within budget and to the required quality standards
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, stakeholders and local communities
  • Ensure compliance with all company health, safety, environmental and quality procedures
