Qualified Electrical Engineer – Westminster, London SW1

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Electrical Engineer to join our facilities maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the planned and reactive maintenance of electrical systems across a portfolio of commercial buildings, ensuring all systems operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with current regulations.

Responsibilities

• Plan and carry out preventive maintenance of electrical systems.
• Respond to reactive maintenance requests and address faults quickly.
• Ensure all work complies with BS 7671 (18th Edition Wiring Regulations) and health & safety regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and report on system performance.
• Collaborate with maintenance teams and contractors to keep building systems operational.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) qualification (essential).
• NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent qualification in Electrical Installation or Electrical Engineering.
• Proven experience in the maintenance of commercial buildings.
• Good fault‑finding and diagnostic skills.
• Knowledge of planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance procedures.
• Strong understanding of health & safety regulations.
