Job Overview

This practical Project/Package Information Management role supports Energy Networks teams to plan, govern, assure and exchange project information consistently across complex transmission and distribution programmes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead day‑to‑day Project/Package Information Management activity, ensuring information requirements, CDE processes, governance arrangements and assurance activities are clearly defined and consistently applied.
  • Develop, implement and maintain information management processes, standards and procedures aligned with ISO 19650, client requirements and WSP digital delivery practices.
  • Set up, govern and monitor common data environments, including folder structures, permissions, workflows, naming conventions, revision control, status codes and controlled information exchange.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary design teams, project managers, document control, client stakeholders and delivery partners to ensure information is planned, produced, reviewed, accepted and issued effectively.
  • Prepare, maintain and review key information management documentation, including BEPs, MIDPs, TIDPs, responsibility matrices, information delivery plans, project protocols and CDE procedures.
  • Monitor information quality, compliance, deliverables, workflow progress, audit trails, evidence records, risks and assurance actions across delivery teams and workstreams.
  • Provide guidance and onboarding to project teams, suppliers and delivery partners on information requirements, digital workflows, CDE usage and best practice.
  • Work with BIM Managers, BIM Coordinators, discipline leads and package teams to ensure model coordination is supported by clear information requirements, issue visibility and controlled exchange processes.
  • Help embed consistent, scalable and proportionate information management practices across the wider Energy Networks T&D portfolio.

Key Skills & Qualifications

  • Practical experience managing information requirements, deliverables, responsibilities, workflows and information exchanges across multidisciplinary project or package teams.
  • Strong working knowledge of ISO 19650 principles, information containers, naming conventions, status codes, revision control, suitability, acceptance processes and information delivery planning.
  • Confident use of Autodesk Construction Cloud or similar common data environment platforms, including project setup, folders, permissions, review workflows, transmittals, issues, comments, audit trails and reporting.
  • Ability to develop, maintain and implement BEPs, MIDPs, TIDPs, responsibility matrices, information delivery plans, project information protocols, CDE procedures and supporting guidance notes.
  • Strong attention to detail in monitoring deliverable status, review progress, quality checks, evidence records, assurance actions, risks, issues and close‑out activities.
  • Effective coordination with project managers, discipline leads, BIM Managers, BIM Coordinators, document control, suppliers, delivery partners and client‑side information management teams.
  • Clear and confident communicator, able to explain requirements, support onboarding, guide teams through workflows, resolve information management queries and promote consistent ways of working.
  • Understanding of how information management supports model coordination, issue management, asset information, handover requirements, reporting and wider project delivery outcomes.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple packages, disciplines and delivery workstreams while maintaining governance, consistency and delivery focus.

What We Will Be Looking For You To Demonstrate

  • Experience in information management, BIM, digital delivery or document control within infrastructure, utilities, energy, transmission, distribution or similar multidisciplinary environments.
  • Strong understanding of ISO 19650 principles, information management processes, common data environments, information containers, document control workflows and information exchange requirements.
  • Experience developing, implementing and maintaining BEPs, MIDPs, TIDPs, information delivery plans, responsibility matrices, CDE workflows, naming conventions and project information protocols.
  • Essential practical experience using Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), including CDE setup, workflows, permissions, review processes, issue management and controlled information exchange.
  • Ability to manage stakeholders, influence project teams and support implementation of consistent information management practices across multiple disciplines and workstreams.
  • Experience supporting assurance, compliance, audits, review workflows, reporting, issue tracking, evidence management and continuous improvement activities.
  • Experience using Power BI or similar dashboards/reporting tools to monitor deliverables, workflow status, review progress, information risks and assurance outputs would be advantageous.
  • Strong communication, organisation and coordination skills, with the ability to manage priorities across multiple packages, disciplines, suppliers or delivery teams.
  • Confidence working with engineering, design, document control, project management and client‑side stakeholders to resolve information management issues and improve delivery outcomes.
  • Understanding of how model coordination, federated information models, issue management, asset information and handover requirements interface with information management processes would be advantageous.
  • Understanding of the challenges and opportunities associated with digital delivery in transmission and distribution programmes would be advantageous.
  • Experience in substations, overhead lines, underground cables, protection and control, civil infrastructure, utilities or major energy programmes would be beneficial, but not essential.
