Senior Relationship Manager (SWB5)
Contract: Fixed term until 30 September 2027, working 35 hours per week (Arts Council also recognizes the benefit of flexible working as a valued part of the way we work and welcomes applications from individuals who require flexibility).
Salary: £50,468 per annum Grade B plus benefits including a final salary pension scheme, generous annual leave, and flexible and hybrid working.
Location: Bristol (The role will be based in Bristol; however, we are operating a hybrid way of working and support our staff to make use of remote working options when combined with regular on-site contact days with other members of the team, normally 1‑2 days a week).
As a Senior Relationship Manager at Arts Council England, you will manage partnerships, investments, and development work across the South‑West Area, and lead a team of experienced Relationship Managers. You will have an in‑depth understanding of the South‑West cultural and creative landscape, be skilled at leading and motivating teams, and capable of creating strong partnerships with local stakeholders at a senior level. You will co‑ordinate sub‑regional place‑based work for the South‑West Area and may also have responsibility for other areas including Diversity, New Technologies, Children Young People & Learning, Engagement & Audiences, Philanthropy, Innovation and Skills and Workforce.
Qualifications
- Demonstrable knowledge of the South‑West’s creative sector
- Experience of relationship management at all levels, including with local authorities
- Good leadership skills, and clear experience of people and project management
- Good understanding of the challenges and opportunities faced by cultural organisations
- Strong understanding of business planning and financial reporting
- Experience of managing change
