Role Overview

This role is responsible for executing second line of defense compliance and operational risk oversight for Legal Entity Controllership Reporting in Bank of America’s Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) entities. The role reviews and challenges processes and controls to ensure accuracy of books and records for financial and regulatory reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in assessing risks, controls, and their effectiveness; drive compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations; adhere to policies; develop reporting and documentation.
  • Provide independent compliance and operational risk oversight of Data Risk in alignment with the Global Compliance – Enterprise Policy, Operational Risk Management – Enterprise Policy, and related Programs and Procedures.
  • Identify and escalate issues; drive actions to address root causes that may lead to compliance or operational risk losses.
  • Develop independent risk management reporting for Data Risk as input into management routines.
  • Respond to regulatory inquiries and audits/examinations related to Data Risk.
  • Monitor the data risk regulatory environment and maintain a comprehensive regulatory inventory.

What We’re Looking For / Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in a related discipline.
  • Extensive experience with finance processes, including financial planning and analysis, financial/regulatory reporting, and/or accounting.
  • Experience in Global Risk Management; proven analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills (written and oral) with business stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a time-sensitive environment; ability to collaborate across multiple teams.
  • Intellectual curiosity and learning agility.
