Position: Global Insights Director (London)
Ralph Lauren Corporation (NYSE:RL) is a global leader in the design, marketing and distribution of premium lifestyle products across five categories: apparel, accessories, home, fragrances, and hospitality.
Responsibilities
- Manage the smooth running and effective delivery of all research pertaining to Womenswear or Handbags.
- Partner with global and regional brand and marketing teams to identify business needs and gaps, ensuring research answers key business questions.
- Build strong relationships with and manage agencies to achieve results that blend “magic & logic” or “data with style”.
- Ensure key learnings and implications are shared with all relevant teams, supervising and supporting regional teams in their markets.
- Provide strategic business support to the global Womenswear & Handbag Brand and Marketing teams and support regional teams.
- Deliver yearly 360 analysis combining insights from U&As, brand health, social listening, identifying new category, brand or market opportunities to feed into category, brand and marketing strategies.
- Support all global WW & Handbags Board meetings and long‑range planning analysis.
- Provide regular updates on macro‑consumer shifts, fashion trends and competitor developments impacting Womenswear & handbags categories.
- Collaborate with the global marketing team to ensure insights inform advertising development, from concept to post‑campaign assessment.
- Contribute to the consumer‑centricity shift by driving adoption of consumer insights within brands, regions and markets.
Qualifications
- Proven track record in an insight function, with client‑side experience ideally in a retail or luxury business.
- Excellent ad hoc research skills (both quantitative and qualitative) with expertise across consumer and shopper methodologies; ability to drive briefs, manage agencies, build analysis from scratch and craft strong, impactful stories.
- Luxury or fashion sensibility.
- Strong passion for understanding consumers and gathering regional nuances and implications.
- Exceptional analytical and commercial awareness, with ability to translate complex data sets into clear, business‑led recommendations.
- Proven leadership experience, driving business change and growth with an entrepreneurial mindset for consumer‑centric transformation.
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior management and network across cultures and backgrounds.
- Curious, proactive, innovative and forward‑thinking.
