Associate Director, Electrical Engineering

Overview

• Own and direct a team of Electrical & ICA engineers for delivery of technical design work on complex multi-disciplinary projects




• Manage time and budgets of the Electrical & ICA team to key project milestones




• Direct and review technical deliverables such as Single Line Diagrams, Load Schedules, MCC specifications




• Provide technical leadership into project design deliverables for Electrical aspects of complex multi-disciplinary projects




• Collaborate with client and operational activities within your immediate team and other related teams




• Lead the growth of local Electrical & ICA team and wider technical network




• Support leadership and management of the D&AT team within the Manchester office

Qualifications

• A degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent




• Chartered Engineer




• Proven experience in leading or directing an Electrical & ICA engineering design delivery team for a design consultancy within a multi-disciplinary environment




• Comprehensive knowledge and practical experience in Electrical designs




• Extensive knowledge of water company design codes and standards such as WIMES




• Strong awareness of HAZOP assessments, lightning strike risk assessments, earthing and bonding, lighting designs, DSEAR and ATEX installation practices




• Ability to work independently with minimal technical guidance




• Experience in industrial and process environment is essential
