The Principal Civil Engineer will be responsible for managing engineering projects, including resource planning, design review, and ensuring deliverables are completed on time and within budget. They will also be responsible for client liaison, mentoring and reviewing the work of engineers and CAD technicians, and the conceptual and detailed design of construction methods and temporary structures.Must Have Skills
Minimum 12 years post-graduation experience in analysis and design of structures, particularly in steelExperience of technical team leadership and managementTemporary works and construction engineering knowledge, particularly heavy lifting equipment and techniquesProficient knowledge and experience in the use of Eurocodes for designExcellent problem solving, presentation and communication (written and verbal) skillsNice to Have Skills
Chartered Engineer with a good degree (min 2:1) in civil/structural engineeringExperience in the design and construction of long span bridges and major buildingsExperience in design of specialist temporary works, particularly related to heavy lifting and moving projectsSome site and/or industrial practical experienceKnowledge of ISO9001, ISO45001 and ISO14001 and experience in company management systems
