Social Worker – Mental Health and Autism Team (Autism Focus)

We are seeking a dedicated Social Worker to join our Mental Health and Autism Team for a short-term contract. The role duration is 2 weeks, with the possibility of extension depending on project needs. Hybrid working with office-based days as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist support to individuals with autism and mental health challenges
• Conduct assessments and develop individualized care plans tailored to service users’ needs
• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver holistic care and interventions
• Engage with service users in both office settings and community environments
• Maintain accurate case records and documentation in accordance with organisational policies
• Attend mandatory team meetings and training sessions in the office on designated days
• Demonstrate a strong office presence, representing the team professionally and confidently
• Carry out home visits and community outreach as necessary
• Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and best practices in social work

Requirements

• A valid Social Worker qualification
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience working in mental health and autism services
• A full UK driving license and access to a car (essential for travel to service users’ locations)
• Experience working in multi-disciplinary settings
• Good office presence and communication skills
• Ability to adapt to a hybrid working environment with mandatory office days
• Gaps in employment history will be reviewed and verified with references
