Manchester EIS is expanding and is looking for an Assistant Practitioner to cover maternity leave. The role focuses on undertaking Physical Health Care assessments and monitoring physical health, alongside other service user and carer interventions within the Early Intervention Service.
The post holder alongside the physical health Lead will be able to hold physical health clinics and complete home visits to provide comprehensive physical health assessments including blood tests and ECGs. They will work as part of a busy multi‑disciplinary team supporting service users to address their physical and mental health needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Health Promotion & interventions
- Physical Health Improvement Tool
- Support with Clozapine, Mood stabiliser and Depot clinics if required
- Undertake Venepuncture regularly as required within the PHIT Tool or directed by senior colleagues
- Undertake ECG as required within the PHIT Tool or directed by physical health lead
- Supporting annual flu vaccination clinics if required
Qualifications and Experience
Some experience of working with service users with mental health issues is required.
