Patient Care Advisor

Overview

An exciting opportunity for a patient care advisor to join the Contact Centre team at Northumbria Healthcare NHS Trust. The role provides patient booking and administrative services and acts as the first point of contact between the Trust and patients.

Responsibilities

• Act as the first point of call for all interactions with patients for booking of outpatient and surgical services, ensuring information is accessible and patients have choice.
• Ensure patients receive elective services in line with NHS plan access targets.
• Book patient referrals, outpatient appointments and surgery in accordance with the Trust’s patient pathways and standards.
• Handle a significant number of telephone calls internally and externally to the Trust, along with other administrative duties.

• Highly motivated, enthusiastic and conscientious individual.

Working Hours

Full‑time or part‑time hours may be considered.
