Overview

Brazer / TIG Welder – Denham, £33,000, Permanent, Days

A globally recognised aerospace manufacturer in Denham is looking to recruit a Brazer / TIG Welder to join its assembly team. This is a hands-on role focused primarily on brazing, with some TIG welding involved. You’ll be working on safety-critical aerospace components, following engineering drawings and manufacturing procedures to produce work to a consistently high standard.

What you’ll be doing

  • Carrying out low-temperature silver brazing and high-temperature brass brazing on aerospace components
  • TIG welding aluminium and stainless steel components where required
  • Operating spot welding equipment
  • Deburring, polishing, cleaning and inspecting finished work
  • Working from engineering drawings, specifications and job cards
  • Completing self-inspection activities to ensure components meet quality standards
  • Supporting prototype and development work when required
  • Assisting with welding activities across the wider manufacturing operation
  • Following all health & safety, quality and process requirements
  • Supporting continuous improvement and 5S activities within the department

What you’ll need

  • Engineering or manufacturing background
  • Previous brazing and TIG welding experience
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Understanding of quality standards and safe working practices
  • Experience using measuring equipment, grinders and engineering hand tools
  • Good attention to detail and pride in producing accurate work
  • Certification in aerospace welding or brazing standards would be beneficial but is not essential
