Fabricator Welder – Newburn (Stannah)
We have an exciting opportunity for a Fabricator Welder to join Stannah, based at Newburn. The role involves joining and fabricating metal components using MAG welding techniques, working from technical drawings provided by our in-house Rail Design Team. You will ensure each product meets quality standards and is delivered with a Right First Time approach. The position is a permanent contract and is 36 hours per week (Friday to Sunday, 06:00–18:30) with a 25% shift uplift during those hours.
Overview
This is a skilled, detail-focused role in which you will contribute to high-quality fabrication work and support long-term development within the company.
Responsibilities
- Complete welding and fabrication jobs within the required specification
- Read and interpret detailed product drawings
- Deliver high-quality work that meets QCD (Quality, Cost, Delivery) standards
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Follow Work Instructions and health and safety protocols
- Polishing and cosmetic finishing using hand air tools
- Work to fine tolerances and use tools such as digital bevel gauges
Qualifications and Requirements
- Experience in MAG welding and fabrication
- Ability to read and work from technical drawings
- Desirable: experience with Oxy-Acetylene heating equipment and working to fine tolerances
- Skilled in polishing and cosmetic finishing using hand air tools
