Role Description
The Installer / Fitter role at Windowcharm Ltd is a full‑time, on‑site position based in the United Kingdom. The role involves installing and fitting a variety of window furnishings, including blinds, shutters, and window film, at customer premises.
Day‑to‑day tasks include measuring windows, preparing materials, safely using hand and power tools, and ensuring all installations meet company quality standards. The Installer / Fitter will interact with customers on‑site, provide basic product guidance, and complete job documentation such as measurements, installation reports, and time records.
The role also includes maintaining a clean work area, adhering to health and safety procedures, and occasionally assisting in the workshop with product preparation.
Qualifications
- Practical skills in measuring, fitting, and installing window furnishings or similar products.
- Ability to safely use hand tools and basic power tools, with a strong focus on quality workmanship.
- Good communication and customer service skills, with a professional on‑site manner.
- Strong attention to detail, problem‑solving abilities, and capability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills for accurate measurements, job records, and reporting.
- Full UK driving licence or equivalent, and willingness to travel to customer sites as required.
- Previous experience in installation, joinery, shop fitting, or a related trade is beneficial but not essential.
- Commitment to health and safety practices and a readiness to undertake any required training.
