Responsibilities
- Perform first-line reactive and planned maintenance on varied high-speed packing equipment.
- Conduct proactive and reactive fault finding and maintenance of motors, pumps and electrical control systems.
- Provide support for and alignment with the Engineering Management Team.
- Drive breakdown analysis to continuously improve asset reliability and reduce unplanned stoppages.
- Communicate effectively with key stakeholders to ensure departmental goals and priorities are achieved.
- Support the departmental AMM strategy by seeking opportunities to revise and improve the PM03 plans and monitor the M&I spend.
Requirements
- Significant experience as an engineer within an FMCG manufacturing environment.
- Qualified up to NVQ Level 3 in an engineering discipline.
- Time-served multi-skilled apprenticeship to a minimum of NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds / BTEC / HNC.
- Previous experience within an FMCG environment is desirable.
- Hands-on, practical approach with a can-do attitude.
- Ability to work as a team delivering compliance in safety, quality, cost and performance.
- Support the development of the team in line with the technical competency matrix.
- Competent in the use of GLOBE SAP systems and reporting.
- Good knowledge of TPM PM methodologies and a drive to implement these with the team.
