MIG Welder

Overview

Do you have MIG Welding experience? JCB, the UK’s leading manufacturer of construction and agricultural equipment, are looking for keen and talented MIG Welders to join us at one of our sites in Staffordshire.

Responsibilities

• Welding in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) using MIG welding of mild steel.
• Read and understand welding drawings.
• Maintain effective verbal and written communication.
• Complete tasks with a high level of detail, accuracy and adherence to attendance standards.
• Attend and successfully complete a client-specific weld test on-site as part of the assessment process (may involve butt weld, multi-run, fillet weld and boss weld).

Requirements/Qualifications

• Previous MIG welding experience is essential.
• Ability to read welding drawings.
• Eye for detail, high level of accuracy and good timekeeping and attendance.
• Must be able to pass on-site weld test as part of the assessment.

Working hours and compensation

• Flexible availability to work days and nights, potentially on a rotational basis; shift allowances where applicable.
• Hourly rate from first shift: £17.94 (days); Nights rate: £24.85.
• Overtime at time-and-a-half, plus additional shift allowance where applicable.
• 33 days” paid holiday allowance.
