Machine Operative – Whitstable, Kent
£12.80 an hour • Temporary summer role – 3 months
Hours (Monday – Friday): 39 hours per week – Mon – Thurs 08:00 – 16:10; Fri 08:00 – 16:00
Breaks: 2 breaks – first 10:10–10:25 and second 12:55–13:15

The role we are recruiting for is a Machine Operative in a factory environment, working for a ventilating equipment manufacturer.
Responsibilities
- Work with metal and build units
- Build/assemble dampers, outer casting, and blades
- Use machinery and hand tools to perform the build (drills, hammers, riveters)
Qualifications
- Must come from a factory, production, or manufacturing environment
- Reliable and punctual
Desirable
- Experience using hand tools
- Experience measuring items
- Engineering mindset or experience
- Personal drive to improve self-skills and team performance
