Overview
Join us as a Finance Assistant and play a key part in supporting vital services across the County Council while building valuable finance and admin experience.
The Opportunity
Working Pattern: Full-time, 37 hours per week
Salary: £26,403 to £26,824 per annum
Location: County Hall, Chichester with hybrid options also available.
In this role you’ll take ownership of a range of everyday admin and finance tasks, for example, processing budget updates, preparing figures for reports, and making sure payments are handled accurately and on time.
You’ll work confidently on your own when needed, especially with routine tasks, but you’ll also be part of a friendly team that’s always happy to help.
Responsibilities
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience in admin or finance and is comfortable explaining simple financial information.
- Enjoys helping customers or colleagues and can stay calm and professional when dealing with difficult queries.
- Likes working in an organised, steady role where accuracy matters.
- Possesses communication skills.
- Has confidence in the use of systems and processes as the role will include working with large volumes of sensitive data.
- Has experience working with IT, mainly using Microsoft applications such as Word or Excel.
- Can prioritise daily tasks to meet deadlines and objectives.
