Children’s Social Worker – Child Protection, Children in Need & Permanence | North Somerset Council – Weston-super-Mare

Contract: 37 hours per week, initial 3-month contract. Agency position taken through Hoop Social Work.

Responsibilities

• Manage Child Protection and Children in Need cases.
• Support children subject to care proceedings and short-term Children in Care plans.
• Contribute to Adoption and Permanence planning to ensure stable, long-term outcomes for children.
• Complete statutory visits, assessments, reports and court work where required.
• Work collaboratively with partner agencies to ensure children receive the right support at the right time.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Minimum of 6 months’ UK experience working as a registered Social Worker.
• Recognised Social Work qualification (Degree, DipSW, CQSW or equivalent).
• Current registration with Social Work England.
• Enhanced DBS, registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
• Ability to provide 3 years of employment references.
• Full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle.
