Overview

The Customer Service Administrator will join the team in Yate on a full-time, temporary basis paying £13.90 per hour. This hybrid role involves processing orders accurately and managing inbound and outbound customer enquiries. You will act as a key contact between multiple sites to ensure smooth order flow and resolve issues promptly. Working hours are 08:30 to 17:00 with a 45-minute lunch. A minimum six-month commitment is required, with potential for this position to become permanent for the right candidate. Parking onsite is available.

Location: Yate / South Gloucestershire (Hybrid)

Hours: 08:30–17:00 (45-minute lunch)

Pay rate: £13.90 per hour

Contract: Temporary ongoing (minimum 6-month commitment could lead to a permanent role)

Responsibilities

  • Process customer orders accurately and in line with procedures
  • Manage inbound and outbound customer calls and general enquiries
  • Act as a key point of contact between different sites to ensure smooth order flow and issue resolution
  • Investigate and resolve customer issues including mis-shipments, credit requests, delivery queries, and proof of delivery requests
  • Maintain and update order information across multiple systems and spreadsheets (Excel)
  • Monitor order progress and proactively identify and resolve issues before escalation
  • Escalate complex queries where required, ensuring timely resolution
  • Ensure high levels of data accuracy and compliance with internal processes
  • Support continuous improvement in customer service and order management processes

Skills & Experience

  • Previous administration or call centre experience in a fast paced environment is essential
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Highly organised, detail-focused, and solutions-driven approach
  • Confident IT skills especially using Excel and multiple systems in a busy environment
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise workload effectively
