You will support people in everyday life, celebrate achievements, encourage fun and creativity, and empower people to be a meaningful part of their local community. This is more than just a job – you’ll be helping people gain independence and live healthy, happy and fulfilling lives.

Responsibilities

  • Provide person-centred support to people with learning disabilities, autism and related needs in their homes and local communities.
  • Support daily living tasks, including activities in daily living, shopping, meals, personal care where appropriate, and home management.
  • Encourage participation in activities, community engagement and the development of new skills.
  • Promote communication, listen carefully, and respond to individual preferences and goals.
  • Work both independently and as part of a wider team to help people meet day-to-day goals and longer-term aspirations.
