Live In Support Worker

Company: Active Care Group Recruitment
Apply for the Live In Support Worker
Location: Burton upon Trent
Job Description:

Overview

For genuine occupational requirements we require female candidates for this client. Due to the rural location, a successful applicant will need to drive with their own transport.

Role

We are seeking a Live in Support Worker to provide one-to-one care in the client’s home, offering a rewarding role in which you can support a client in their own home. We are one of the UK’s largest providers of complex care and, within the Care in the Home division, we support clients with complex care to live independently at home. We are looking for a Live in Support Worker to assist our female client who lives in Newborough, Burton-on-Trent.

Meet the client

Our client is a kind, caring, and gentle lady who enjoys the comfort of her peaceful home in a rural setting. There are no nearby shops or local amenities, so driving and access to transport is essential. “Family means everything to me, and maintaining my comfort, dignity, and routine at home is a priority.” She values a clean, tidy, and well-organised environment and is looking for a support worker who can use initiative, brings a positive outlook, and has a warm, friendly, and bubbly personality. Building trust is very important; she would love someone she can chat with and rely on, but she is naturally quiet and reserved, so time is needed for her to get to know new people. Patience, understanding, and consistency are essential qualities for anyone supporting her.

Due to a genuine occupational requirement, we are seeking applications from female candidates only for this role.

What you’ll be doing

This role is to support our female client in her own home for two-week live-in shifts, who has suffered a spinal cord injury. The client requires support with moving and handling, personal care and hygiene, and medication. You will need to be able to drive with your own vehicle to commute to the client’s rural location. You’ll be working as part of a consistent support team providing 24/7 care, helping to create stability, familiarity, and meaningful daily experiences. While hours are usually stable, the position is offered on a zero-hours contract.

When you’ll be working

  • Regular assignments with this client
  • Assignment length 2 weeks at a time

What you’ll have

  • Kind and caring nature
  • Flexibility & reliability – continuity of care is imperative for our clients
  • Good communication skills
  • Be a driver with own transport due to client’s rural location

What to look forward to

  • £153 – £162 per day (depending on UK experience and qualifications)
  • Accrued holiday pay
  • Flexible zero hours contract
  • A Nest Personal Pension account
  • Active Awards programme to recognise outstanding Active Behaviours
  • Refer a Friend Scheme and earn up to £1500 by recommending someone you know
  • Ongoing support and guidance from our qualified clinical and business leadership teams to develop your career

Note: We want everyone to feel welcome and supported. If you need reasonable adjustments during the recruitment or interview process, please let us know and we’ll discuss this with you.
