A skilled Rehabilitative Support Worker (RSW) is needed to join the Community Rehabilitation Team (CRT) in Glenrothes. The CRT delivers rehabilitation to adult service users in the community and as in‑patients, out‑patients or at home.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy and District Nursing teams to design and implement therapeutic treatment programmes for service users.
- Deliver daily rehabilitation sessions in the ward setting or at patients’ homes, aiming to prevent hospital admissions and support early discharge.
- Operate shifts covering 365 days a year, 8:00–22:00, to provide continuous care.
- Maintain accurate records of treatment plans, progress and outcomes.
- Travel throughout the local area as required to access community hospital sites.
Qualifications & Experience
- SVQ Level III in Health and Social Care or an equivalent qualification.
- Previous experience working as a support worker, preferably with older people.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently as well as within a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent communication skills and a commitment to continuous professional development.
- Capacity to work flexibly for 25 hours across 7 days per week.
Training and Support
Regular supervision, Personal Development Plan (PDP) sessions and training opportunities are provided to support professional growth.
Work Hours
25 hours per week, working flexibly over seven days to meet service needs. Travel to community hospital sites may be required.
