Project Worker – Wellbeing Service
Are you passionate about supporting people’s health and wellbeing? The Bridge Project plays an essential role within the Bradford District & Craven Wellbeing Network, providing a streamlined, single point of access for system partners and front-line workers. We are looking for a full-time Project Worker on a fixed‑term contract until 31 March 2027 to join the System Access Point. The role is to be the first point of contact for people needing support, helping them navigate services and access the right help, and to support the delivery of our in-house telephone befriending service.
Responsibilities
- Provide a welcoming first point of contact for individuals seeking support.
- Offer triage screening, assess wellbeing needs, and connect people to relevant services.
- Recruit, train, and support volunteer befrienders, ensuring they can provide meaningful assistance.
- Maintain contact with service users throughout their journey.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with volunteers, stakeholders, and the wider Wellbeing Network.
What We’re Looking For (Qualifications and Experience)
- Experience in a voluntary, health, or care setting.
- Strong communication and IT skills (Microsoft Office proficiency).
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
- Understanding of confidentiality, safeguarding, and professional boundaries.
- Passion for empowering people and supporting community wellbeing.
- Desirable: Experience in volunteer coordination.
- Qualifications in health, social care, or training.
- Local knowledge of the Bradford area.
