Overview
Location: Poole
Salary: Starting from £12.71 per hour (with opportunities for progression as your skills develop)
Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week. Monday to Thursday 8:00am – 4:30pm; Friday 8:00am – 1:30pm.
We are looking for a hands-on, practical and technically minded individual to join our production team as a Trainee Production Mould Machine Technician. Full training will be provided to help you develop specialist engineering and manufacturing skills within a specialist cable manufacturing company.
Responsibilities
- Learn to set up moulding machines ready for production
- Program machinery for different products
- Service and maintain production equipment
- Diagnose and repair machine faults
- Set up and calibrate tooling and applicators
- Read and interpret technical drawings
- Record maintenance work and machine repairs
- Perform preventative maintenance
- Support continuous improvements in safety, quality and production efficiency
- Assist with product assembly when required
- Develop skills to train production operators on routine machine servicing

Desirable (but not essential)
- Engineering, mechanical or manufacturing qualification
- Previous manufacturing or production experience
- Experience using hand tools
- Ability to read technical drawings
