Overview
Scania Leeds opportunity within the workshop environment. The role focuses on leading and organising the workshop team, promoting a positive team environment, and delivering safe, efficient workshop operations with strong health and safety practices.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and organise the workshop team while managing productivity and efficiencies.
- Act as the primary point of contact for support required by technicians and workshop staff.
- Provide technical knowledge to technicians and, when required, to customers.
- Ensure all work is authorised to a high standard.
- Promote high standards in job card write‑ups to prevent warranty rejections.
- Mentor apprentices to develop the next generation of technicians.
Qualifications
- Proven workshop experience with leadership of a team of technicians.
- Strong Health and Safety practices and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Ability to communicate proactively and deliver excellent service to customers.
- Technical capability to support both the team and customers as needed.
- Experience in ensuring proper job card documentation and warranty compliance.
Benefits and Terms
- Salary: £18.64 – £22.50 per hour.
- Full-time, rotating shift pattern (example: Week 1: 06:00–14:00; Week 2: 12:00–00:00).
