Job Overview
This is a site‑based role within a small primary school. You will manage the daily lunchtime service, ensuring that freshly prepared meals delivered from an off‑site kitchen are served smoothly and hygienically.
Responsibilities
- Set up dining area in preparation for service.
- Serve meals to pupils in a friendly, professional manner.
- Receive and prepare delivered meals.
- Clear down and clean the kitchen and dining spaces after lunch.
- Maintain clean, safe, hygienic working areas and follow food‑hygiene and safety procedures.
- Support stock storage and deliveries when required.
- Provide excellent customer service to pupils, staff and visitors.
- Work independently while maintaining high standards of food hygiene, safety and customer service.
Qualifications
- Positive and reliable attitude.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Good organisation and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a busy environment and prioritise tasks.
- Previous catering or food service experience is helpful but not essential; full training is provided.
