The Logistical Admin Support Worker provides logistical underpinning to community Nursing teams across Primary care networks, supporting and enabling the teams to focus on patient-facing care. They are a key member of the team who supports the functionality of teams, contributing to the provision of high-quality care. Responsibilities include ordering equipment on the NHS procurement website, managing stock levels of dressing and equipment, and maintaining other databases to ensure the team deliver care safely and effectively. They support the DN to manage and provide an effective workspace.

This role may require visiting various locations across Airedale to pick up or deliver documents/equipment from other teams.

Main duties of the job

  • Use e-technologies to improve ways of working within the team.
  • Participate in the maintenance of effective office systems and identify improvements to enhance individual, team and service performance.
  • Collect information required for statistical analysis and collate information for forwarding to the relevant team. Record and input onto the computer any relevant data as directed.
  • Maintain data quality at all times, ensuring accurate information is recorded on the Patient Administration System.
  • Assist in maintaining adequate stock levels of items within the team.
  • Ensure the work area is appropriate and fit for purpose. Follow Trust and departmental policies and procedures including HR, operating procedures and financial policies.
  • Contribute to the management of service risks and governance. Support project work as identified by management.
  • Undertake duties in line with role banding and level of competence; act as an ambassador for administration services displaying exemplary role model behaviours.

Person Specification

Qualifications

  • RSA II or equivalent
  • EDCL or equivalent

Knowledge

  • Understanding of confidentiality and how to maintain it
  • Knowledge of office systems
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software
  • Knowledge of how to receive visitors and telephone callers

Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Numerate; capable of basic calculations
  • Ability to prioritise workload and work on own initiative within procedures
  • Ability to work as part of a team

Experience

  • Experience using Microsoft Office packages
  • Experience of general office duties
