Specialist Project Worker – 25 Hours – £14.51 per hour – Lyndon Lodge, Leicester
Position: Specialist Project Worker at Lyndon Lodge, 383 Aylestone Road, Leicester LE2 8TA. Hours: 25 per week. Salary: £14.51 per hour.
You’ll be part of a compassionate, community‑focused team supporting people with mental health needs, putting people first every day. This role is sometimes also referred to as Senior Support Worker or Senior Support Assistant.
Responsibilities
- Support customers with mental health needs to build independence and reach their potential
- Ensure the smooth running of the service and promote it effectively
- Work closely with colleagues and customers to deliver high‑quality, intensive support
- Manage and develop a team of Project Workers, including recruitment, training and rota planning
- Oversee risk assessments and personalised support plans to maintain quality
- Liaise with colleagues to achieve positive outcomes, focusing on tenancy sustainment and move‑on goals
- Promote safe working practices and complete health and safety checks
Qualifications and Skills
- Experience supporting adults with mental health needs
- Empathetic and able to relate to people with mental health challenges
- Lived experience of mental health services is valued and can help support people in crisis
- Able to work effectively under pressure and maintain accurate records
- Proficient technology/IT skills (Microsoft Office and similar)
- NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or willingness to work towards it
