Facilities Assistants

Overview

Make a difference as a Facilities Assistant at PGL Travel Ltd. The role supports safe, clean, and welcoming centre environments for guests. This is a busy, physical, hands-on role requiring practical problem solving and reliability. A UK driving licence is required to drive centre vehicles. The position offers a real Living Wage rate of £13.45 per hour, and a fixed term contract until 13/11/26, with optional accommodation and meal packages at a generous rate (zero bills or utilities charged). Paid overtime may be available during peak periods.

Responsibilities

• Keep centres running smoothly by performing maintenance, cleaning, and safety checks to ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.
• Identify, fix, or report issues such as leaks, damaged surfaces, or other faults; take appropriate action to prevent disruption.
• Respond to emergencies and assist with on-site problem solving to maintain operations.
• Carry out general duties as required to maintain high standards of appearance and safety.
• Drive centre vehicles as needed, requiring a valid UK Driving Licence.

Qualifications and Requirements

• No prior experience required; your character, attitude, and willingness to learn are valued.
• UK Driving Licence required to operate centre vehicles.
• All centre-based employees and some Head Office roles may require an Enhanced criminal record check (DBS/PVG). The company pays for this check.
• You may need to provide a 5-year address history and valid ID (e.g., passport or birth certificate).
• Convictions related to violence, drugs, or safeguarding may affect eligibility; each case is assessed individually.
