Overview

Plimsoll is looking for experienced Researchers to work with our BAFTA and Emmy award-winning team on an exciting series about British wildlife. The ideal candidates will have a real passion and knowledge of British wildlife, with experience in blue chip natural history filmmaking. The successful researcher will be responsible for finding stories, developing ideas, liaising with contributors, engaging with scientists/experts and helping to secure locations. Camera and technical skills are also desirable. The ideal candidate is a brilliant communicator, highly organised, and has a passion for Natural History.

Please note that we are hiring for a range of roles across several wildlife series, so please be mindful of which role and production you are applying for: Wildlife Series with VFX, Talent-Led Wildlife Series, and British Wildlife Series.

Responsibilities

  • Find stories and develop ideas for wildlife-focused content.
  • Liaise with contributors, scientists/experts, and other stakeholders.
  • Engage with scientists/experts and help secure filming locations.
  • Utilise camera and technical skills as needed.
  • Collaborate with a team on blue chip natural history filmmaking projects.

Qualifications

  • Passion and knowledge of British wildlife.
  • Experience in blue chip natural history filmmaking.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Valid driving licence.
  • At least 2 credits at Researcher level.
