Overview
We are looking for a dedicated and inclusive SEND Learning Support Assistant to join our supportive and collaborative team. Are you passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of children with special educational needs? Do you have a patient, compassionate nature and a genuine interest in supporting their learning and development?
Responsibilities
- Assist in the delivery of engaging and innovative teaching within the classroom, on a one-to-one basis and in small groups.
- Work with the teacher to develop appropriate resources, schemes of work and teaching strategies to ensure provisions support individual learning needs.
Requirements / Qualifications
- Patient, compassionate nature and genuine interest in supporting learning and development.
Notes
This post is a customer-facing position and falls within the scope of the Code of Practice on English Language Requirement for Public Sector Workers. The school has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description and Person Specification.
