Class 2 Driver

Overview

The Class 2 Driver position in Cambridge, CB4 0DN is a temporary contract offering up to £16 per hour. Shifts are Monday to Friday from 04:00 to 14:30. The role involves operating flatbed heavy goods vehicles over 17.5 tonnes, with occasional Skip Roll-on/Roll-off (RoRo) work.

Responsibilities

• Drive HGV Class 2 vehicles over 17.5 tonnes, primarily flatbed.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and ensure loads are secured safely.
• Follow all road safety regulations and driver regulations.
• Complete delivery paperwork when required and maintain vehicle cleanliness.
• Report any faults promptly and maintain professional conduct with customers.

Requirements

• Valid Class 2 (Category C) HGV licence.
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Good understanding of road safety and driver regulations.
• Reliable, punctual, able to work independently.
• Experience with flatbed or Skip RoRo is an advantage but not essential.
• Happy to accept LTD drivers.
