We’re currently recruiting for a Secondary English Teacher to join one of our partner secondary schools in South Yorkshire on a full-time basis, starting ASAP.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic English specialist to join a school that values high-quality teaching, strong relationships, and positive outcomes for students. You’ll be joining a dedicated English department where you can inspire students, support their progress, and make a real difference in their learning journey. The role is suitable for experienced teachers and ECTs, with the opportunity to become permanent for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Delivering high-quality English lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4, including English Language and Literature.
- Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel confident to participate.
- Assessing student progress and adapting teaching strategies to support individual learning needs.
- Encouraging students to develop their reading, writing, communication, and analytical skills.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to support student outcomes and departmental development.
- Maintaining high standards of behaviour and professionalism in line with school expectations.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Specialism in English with the ability to teach KS3 and KS4.
- Strong classroom management skills and confident curriculum knowledge.
- Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
- A positive, proactive, and inclusive approach to teaching.
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one through Milk Education).

This role is paid within the advertised pay scale. Your starting rate will be determined by your qualifications, relevant experience, and the requirements of the assignment.
