Job Description:

The People & Capability Support role provides practical, day‑to‑day support to the Organization & People team, enabling the effective delivery of resourcing & recruitment, talent management, and culture & engagement activities. Reporting to the Head of Organisation & People, the role focuses on coordination, data, and implementation support across the employee lifecycle, helping ensure people initiatives are delivered consistently, efficiently, and to a high standard.

Success Measures

  • Reliable, timely support to Resourcing, Talent, and Culture roles.
  • Accurate and up‑to‑date people data and records.
  • Smooth coordination of people activities and initiatives.
  • Positive feedback from Organization & People colleagues and managers.
  • Improved efficiency and consistency in delivery of people processes.

Required Capabilities

  • People Operations Support – Understanding of basic people processes across the employee lifecycle.
  • Coordination & Application – Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Data & Systems – Ability to maintain accurate records and work confidently with HR systems and spreadsheets.
  • Collaboration & Communication – Ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders and within a team.
  • Continuous Improvement Mindset – Willingness to identify issues and suggest improvements.

Key Accountability Areas

Support to Resourcing & Recruitment

  • Provide operational support for recruitment activities, including coordination, tracking, and application.
  • Support onboarding activities and ensure accurate completion of documentation and system updates.
  • Maintain recruitment data, trackers, and reports to support delivery and monitoring.

Support to Talent Management

  • Support performance management, development, and talent initiatives through coordination and application.
  • Assist with scheduling, tracking, and follow‑up of talent and development activities.
  • Maintain accurate people data related to performance and development processes.

Support to Culture & Engagement

  • Assist with delivery of engagement, culture, and communication activities and initiatives.
  • Support the application of engagement surveys, feedback activities, and communications.
  • Help coordinate events, campaigns, and people initiatives that support engagement and culture.

Data, Systems & Process Support

  • Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date people data across systems and trackers.
  • Support reporting on people activities, metrics, and actions.
  • Follow established people processes and identify issues or gaps for escalation.

Team Coordination & Continuous Improvement

  • Provide general coordination and support across the Organization & People team.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to streamline processes and ways of working.
  • Support knowledge sharing and documentation within the team.

Qualifications & Legal Requirements

To be considered, you must have the permanent right to work in the UK and be ordinarily resident in the UK, the British Overseas Territories, or Crown Dependencies (Channel Islands and Isle of Man) for at least the previous three years before the start of the apprenticeship and throughout its duration.

The duration of this apprenticeship will be 22 months.
