Role Overview

Milk Education is seeking a caring and enthusiastic Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in the L14 area of Liverpool on a longterm basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity to provide general classroom support in KS1, supporting children with their early development, learning, and social skills. You will be part of a supportive and experienced team committed to creating a positive, inclusive, and nurturing environment where every child can thrive.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Provide general classroom support to the class teacher and KS1 pupils
  • Support children’s learning through group work, interventions, and focused 1:1 support
  • Assist with the delivery of phonics, early reading, writing, and maths activities
  • Encourage positive behaviour, inclusion, and emotional development
  • Support with lesson preparation, classroom organisation, and observation/assessment tasks

Essential Requirements

  • Recent and relevant experience working in an educational setting
  • Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (CACHE, Childcare, NNEB, or equivalent)
  • A genuine passion for supporting KS1 pupils
  • A nurturing, patient, and proactive approach
  • Ability to follow guidance from the class teacher and work effectively as part of a team
