£11,126 (Grade 3)

Working Pattern

18 hours per week, day to day, term time only plus 5 days.

Responsibilities

  • Implement planned learning activities and support teachers.
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing constructive feedback.
  • Support students with SEND or EAL, assisting in the development of individual plans such as One‑Page Profiles and EHCPs.
  • Assist with students’ social and emotional well‑being, including eating, dressing, and hygiene where required.
  • Provide cover and assistance in intervention settings (e.g., Bridge and PLC). Assist in escorting and supervising students on educational visits.
  • Invigilate formal examinations.

Qualifications

  • Experience working effectively within a school environment or directly with children and young people.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work flexibly to meet business needs.
  • Proficiency in standard ICT packages, including Microsoft Office.
  • Willingness to undertake necessary training to assist students, including meeting medical or care plan agreements.
  • Desirable: previous experience working with children with special needs and/or challenging behaviours.
  • Respect for confidentiality and data protection regulations.
