Working Pattern
18 hours per week, day to day, term time only plus 5 days.
Responsibilities
- Implement planned learning activities and support teachers.
- Monitor and record student progress, providing constructive feedback.
- Support students with SEND or EAL, assisting in the development of individual plans such as One‑Page Profiles and EHCPs.
- Assist with students’ social and emotional well‑being, including eating, dressing, and hygiene where required.
- Provide cover and assistance in intervention settings (e.g., Bridge and PLC). Assist in escorting and supervising students on educational visits.
- Invigilate formal examinations.
Qualifications
- Experience working effectively within a school environment or directly with children and young people.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work flexibly to meet business needs.
- Proficiency in standard ICT packages, including Microsoft Office.
- Willingness to undertake necessary training to assist students, including meeting medical or care plan agreements.
- Desirable: previous experience working with children with special needs and/or challenging behaviours.
- Respect for confidentiality and data protection regulations.
